The main customer base of our Blue Cape Cellars wine is the restaurant community.  Our clients over the years include Phoenix restaurants Christo’s Ristorante, Richardson’s, the Duck and Decanter, the Whining Pig, Tarbell’s, Scottsdale’s Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Volanti at the Scottsdale Airport and Mesa’s Il Vinaio.

These businesses have been greatly affected by the current Coronavirus.  Takeout dinners have kept them on life support but they still suffer from normal patronage at the restaurant.  Consequently, their workers are directly affected and many are or will soon be on unemployment.

Blue Cape Cellars is helping. 

Blue Cape Cellars recently began utilizing a few web-based sales platforms. For our direct to customer sales outside of Arizona you may order from nxtcrush.com and/or craftwineassoc.org. If you live in Arizona, email winemaker Kim Hartleroad at kim@bluecapecellars for stores with the wine in stock.  For every case sold, Blue Cape Cellars will donate a portion of the proceeds to those in need.

About Our Label

The Blue Cape Cellars name and logo honor Kim’s late mother Aletha who proudly wore a blue cape in her duties as a caring registered nurse. The golden fields of grain pictured on the label are reminiscent of the golden wheat she grew up around on her family’s farm in Kansas.
THE  BLUE CAPE CELLARS
WINE PROJECT
Wine Project comprises boutique wines made by Kim Lee Hartleroad. The wines we produce are from excellent, low yield vineyards in Santa Barbara County, California. The fruit from these vineyards is exceptional. The Pinot Grigio grapes are from the Los Alamos region in Santa Barbara County. Our Pinot Noir to be released in the Spring of 2014. All grapes were sourced from from Santa Rita Hills vineyards. The two clones we use for our Pinot Noir (clone 667 and 777) render a very dark colored, bold tasting Pinot Noir. Barrel samples already show tremendous depth of flavor (see our blog on Pinot Noir Clones).
